  5.     PMail Watcher 1.2 is a Email notification program for
  6. Pegasus Mail. It notifies of new or unread mail with a animated
  7. icon (a mailbox of course!) which displays number of unread
  8. messages, and you can even be notified by sound -by a beep or
  9. audio .WAV files. It allows each individual user on the network
  10. to set the notification interval and sound that suits him / her
  11. best.

  25. **    Installing PMail Watcher:
  26.  
  27.     Simply copy PMWATCH.EXE to a directory of your choice. Copy
  28. all included .VBX files to your windows system directory,
  29. usually C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM. One suggestion is to add PMail
  30. Watcher to your startup group -Then you are ensured that you
  31. will never forget a unread mail message again!

  34. ** Configuring PMail Watcher:
  35.  
  36.     The first time PMail Watcher is started, it starts with some
  37. default settings:
  38.  
  39. -    The MAIL directory path defaults to F:\MAIL\[USERID].
  40.     [USERID] is the Novell User ID, i.e. F:\MAIL\F5000004.
  41.     Usually doesn't need to be changed.
  42.  
  43. -    The path to Pegasus Mail is set to F:\PUBLIC\PMAIL. Ask
  44.     your network administrator if you are not sure where
  45.     Pegasus Mail is located.
  46.  
  47. -    Beep when new mail arrives checkbox is unchecked.
  48.     When selected, PMail Watcher will beep when you have unread
  49.     mail waiting.

  51. -    Sound file textbox is blank.
  52.     If you have a sound card or a internal speaker driver
  53.     installed, you can enter a .WAV file that will be played
  54.     when you have unread mail waiting. The pushbutton on the
  55.     right brings up a directory list, where you can select a
  56.     .WAV file.

  58. -    Keep window / icon always on top is unselected.
  59.     If selected, the PMail Watcher window and icon will always
  60.     be displayed on top of other windows.

  62. -    Minimize Mail Watcher at startup is unselected.
  63.     When selected, PMail Watcher will be iconized when executed.
  64.     You can access the configuration window by double-clicking
  65.     on the icon.

  67. -    Scan for mail every nn min is set to 5 minutes.
  68.     Select the desided interval when PMail Watcher should scan
  69.     for unread mail. The interval can be set from 1-60 minutes,
  70.     by using the up and down buttons on the right side.

  72. The setting are saved to PMWATCH.INI in your Windos directory.

  75. ** Registration:
  76.  
  77.     PMail Watcher is shareware. You may use it for evaluation
  78. purposes for up to 30 days. If you would like to continue using
  79. PMail Watcher, you must register it. The license fee is
  80. US $15.00. The shareware version is not crippled, except a
  81. shareware reminder that pops up occasionally. When you
  82. register, you will receive free support, either by email, fax,
  83. telephone or mail, and the shareware reminder popup will be
  84. removed.

  86. The Registration ID and control number will be sent to you
  87. either by email, fax or mail. When the registration ID and
  88. control number is entered (by pressing the Register button on
  89. the shareware reminder), the shareware reminder won't be
  90. displayed again.
